PROPELLA TROUBLESHOOT

ERROR MESSAGES

  • Error 21 is usually related to abnormal connection or signal in the system.

    1. Make sure all the cables are fully connected. This includes the cable connection located underneath the chain-stay.

    2. Visually inspect the wires for damages. Especially near the fork and handlebar area.

    3. Remove the battery and visually check the fuse at the bottom. (the fuse box pops out with a small screwdriver or plier tool). Push the fuse in and make sure it's firmly connected, and not loose.

    4. Install the battery on the bike, turn on the LCD display, and check the walk-mode. Walk-mode is activated by pressing and holding the down button on the LCD. This will gently start the motor and spin the rear wheel. Make sure the motor runs smoothly and without any interruptions.

    5. After finishing step 4 successfully, ride the bike and check the pedal-assist.

For further assistance, please contact us.

  • Error 23 is normally related to "motor phase" issues. This means the controller is not receiving proper phase signals from the motor.

    1. Check the motor cable connection: (This cable is located underneath the chainstay) Disconnect this cable by pulling each side of the connector apart, then visually inspect the inside of the connector male/female pins and make sure there's no moisture, dirt or debris. Re-connect the cable by aligning the arrows on the connector and firmly press together)

    2. contact us Make sure there are no damaged wires near the motor.

    3. Turn on the e-bike display and contact us if you need further assistance.

  • Error 25 is normally related to the brake levers. There's a small sensor inside each brake lever that cuts of the power to the motor when you press the levers. If this error happens all the time, it could indicate a damaged/defective or a jammed sensor mechanism.

(Please note that you will get an Error 25 if you turn on your LCD while pressing the brake levers at the same time. When turning on the LCD, do not press the brakes)

If you see this error regularly, one possible solution is to gently tap on the brake levers with the screw driver, small hammer, or similar object to release a jammed sensor. Then press the levers firmly and suddenly let go a few times. (Make sure to do this when the bike is stationary)

Also, make sure all the brake cables are properly connected.

Please try the tips above and contact us for further assistance.

  • Thanks for reaching out. We can help with the troubleshoot and will resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Error 30 is usually related to communication problems between the parts. (mainly the controller, display, or the wires)

    1. Make sure all the cables are fully connected. This included the cable connection located underneath the chain-stay.

    2. Visually inspect the wires for damages. Especially near the fork and handlebar area.

    3. Remove the battery, wait a few seconds, install the battery, and try again.

PEDAL-ASSIST ISSUES

  • First things to check is to make sure all cables are fimrly connected. This includes the motor cable connection located underneath the chain stay.

Next, check the walk mode: Turn on the LCD, press/hold the down button for a few seconds. The motor will gently start and the rear wheel should spin freely without interruptions for at least 15 seconds.

If the walk-mode works, then this is very likely an indication of a damaged/defective pedal-assist sensor. (a small part located at the center of the crank wheel). please contact us to further troubleshoot and sensor replacement. contact us

    1. Check the motor-cable connected (located underneath the chain-stay) and make sure it’s firmly connected.

    2. Visually inspect the pedal-assist sensor (a small plastic part located on the right side of the bottom bracket - at the center of crank arm). Make sure the sensor is free of any excessive dirt. Also, push the sensor in against the bike frame to make it has proper contact bottom bracket axle.

    3. Test ride your e-bike again, and contact us if the problem persists.

LCD Display ISSUES

  • Before proceeding with this troubleshoot, make sure your battery has enough charge. (The LCD Display may not turn on when the battery level is below 1/5).

A fully drained battery will take 2.5-3 hours to fully recharge. The LED light on the charger unit switched from Red to Green when the battery is fully charged.

If your battery has enough charge and the LCD display still does not turn on, it can be due to one of the following:

    1. Damaged/Defective LCD Display

    2. Damaged/Defective Battery

    3. Damaged/Defective Controller

    4. Damaged/Defective Cable(s)

Visually inspect all the wires and make sure all cables are firmly connected.
